Gucci Store Director position in New York. Lead luxury retail operations, drive sales performance, and inspire exceptional client experiences. Salary $150K–$165K USD.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead store operations with entrepreneurial mindset, driving store results, people development, client experience, and engagement
- Serve as cross-functional leader optimizing business performance and ensuring seamless store functionality while cultivating unsurpassed luxury service culture
- Maintain strategic, operational, and floor leadership to execute company strategy with efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead the team in executing superior client-centric service and after-sales experience to achieve consistent high client satisfaction
- Promote brand awareness and market presence through community outreach and company-sponsored events
- Inspire collaboration to achieve coherent clienteling-related activities and training initiatives
- Ensure development and execution of CRM initiatives by guiding the team to devise effective action plans and personalized client development opportunities
- Partner with Client Engagement team to leverage business development opportunities and execute top-client strategy focusing on retention and high-potential client development
- Champion full utilization of clienteling tools to drive client loyalty and acquisition
- Oversee and guide the team to manage client flow on the selling floor ensuring all clients are addressed with exceptional service
- Coach and assist the team in managing and resolving client service issues to retain and enrich client relationships
- Lead and oversee company-driven local events and product launches ensuring client attendance and sales results
- Maintain deep knowledge of competition and local market trends, staying well-connected to market evolution

- Manage and oversee timely resolution of employee-relations matters in partnership with line manager and People Partners

- Oversee consistent and timely Gucci onboarding experience for all new hires
- Partner cross-functionally to drive and maximize sales performance, consistently achieving sales targets and KPIs while ensuring operational integrity and profitability
- Devise and drive collaborative and innovative initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities and seize competitive advantage
- Demonstrate sales leadership by actively coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities, engaging with top clients, and ensuring highest level of client service and hospitality
- Oversee and ensure management of stock levels to maximize full-price selling and maintain high sell-through aligned with new product launches
- Ensure rollout of training priorities so all team members are fully educated on brand pillars and seasonal strategy
- Consistently drive company KPIs by guiding and challenging everyone to create and implement strategies when performance standards are not met
- Guide and ensure effective allocation of staff resources and schedules to drive sales and maintain high standard of client service
- Keep up to date with competitor analysis including products, sales trends, people strategies, clienteling activities, and launches
- Adhere to and oversee adherence to company policies and procedures including Operations, People, and Security
- Manage and support stock levels through direct communication with key business departments to maximize full-price selling and maintain high sell-through
- Comply with all Loss Prevention self-audits, monthly cycle counts, incident reporting, and inventory reconciliations to ensure annual inventory shrinkage below company target
- Provide accurate monthly schedules and timely submission of payroll records for all employees
- Oversee incoming and outbound merchandise requests and shipments
- Support and monitor after-sales services in store
- Oversee and support maintenance of Visual Merchandising standards set by the Global VM team
- Ensure optimal and consistent adherence to all key health, safety, and security aspects
- Maintain company assets organized in respect of back-of-house and front-of-house guidelines
- Represent the Gucci image through appropriate wardrobe and presence per company grooming standards, ensuring team adherence to these standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and influence a team
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to business needs
- Proven ability to drive positive client experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Industry awareness, commercial knowledge, and strong business and financial acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Passion for the Fashion Industry
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
