Gucci Store Designer in Scandicci, Italy — lead retail design projects across flagship, store and concession formats for Gucci in Scandicci.
Role & Responsibilities
- Research and develop creative design concepts across multiple retail projects, preparing materials for internal review, external approvals and creative discussions.
- Build coherent design narratives and translate brand identity into store solutions across formats (flagship stores, standard stores, concessions).
- Communicate design intent through sketches, hand drawings, renders, layouts and scale drawings; iterate designs based on feedback.
- Take ownership of assigned projects under the guidance of the Senior Store Designer and coordinate with external consultants when required.
- Source and specify materials, finishes and techniques with a focus on luxury quality and sustainability.
- Develop and test store layout scenarios and simulations to support space planning and design decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Construction, Visual Merchandising, Merchandising and Sustainability teams to ensure design feasibility and coherent execution.
- Prepare comprehensive design packages for handover to regional construction and execution teams and maintain data integrity within space‑planning tools.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience in architecture and store design within the luxury retail sector, demonstrating knowledge of premium brand environments.
- Strong creative sensibility and a confident, defendable design point of view.
- Robust technical capability with experience influencing and negotiating across Construction, VM, Merchandising and Retail teams.
- Highly organized, adaptable to shifting priorities and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Italian preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and V-Ray.

Proven professional experience in architecture and store/interior design for luxury retail environments, demonstrating delivery across multiple store formats and collaboration with construction and merchandising teams.
Education
Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent professional qualification.
