Gucci — Shoe Upper Assembler in Castiglion Fiorentino. Produce and sew women's shoe uppers at Il Castello; multi-year footwear sewing experience required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspect cut components for quality and correct quantities prior to assembly.
- Read and interpret accompanying technical documentation (technical sheets, quality specifications, model data) to determine required edge-stitching and finishing methods.
- Set up and prepare sewing machines and production tools for each model.
- Lining, pair and assemble cut pieces and sew the shoe upper in accordance with the model and technical sheet requirements.
- Maintain production quality standards and collaborate with line colleagues to meet output and specification targets.
Qualifications
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in footwear upper assembly, preferably within luxury and women’s shoe manufacturing.
- Proven proficiency operating flatbed and column sewing machines (macchina piana, macchina a colonna).
- Solid understanding of the footwear production cycle and manufacturing processes.
- Experience preparing machines and tools for production (machine set-up).
- High levels of precision, attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a production team environment.
Skills
Experience
Several years of direct experience performing upper assembly and sewing operations on women’s footwear, ideally gained within luxury shoe production.
Education
Vocational qualification, technical diploma or relevant apprenticeship in footwear manufacturing, leather goods or a comparable technical discipline; equivalent practical experience will be accepted.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany, Italy, with easy access to Florence.
