Gucci is hiring a Senior Visual Merchandiser in New York, NY to lead flagship visual strategy and execution at a high‑visibility store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and execute all interior visual merchandising and window presentations for a high‑volume flagship store, ensuring flawless delivery of global visual directives.
- Act as the in‑store visual authority and subject matter expert for brand aesthetics, creative standards, and visual storytelling.
- Translate global creative strategy into store‑specific concepts that respect architecture, client profile and commercial priorities.
- Design elevated visual presentations that enhance the client journey, focus product attention and drive sales performance.
- Partner with the Store Director, Merchandising and Operations teams to align visual execution with business strategy and commercial targets.
- Analyse selling reports and product performance to inform visual strategy, zoning plans and regular refreshes.
- Lead visual execution for events, seasonal launches, VIP activations and pilot initiatives, ensuring high‑impact, on‑brand results.
- Mentor and coach store teams and visual ambassadors to raise standards, capability and consistency across the store.
- Maintain visual tools, props and inventory; ensure proper care, storage and brand compliance.
- Document visual updates with professional photo records and clear recaps for regional and corporate stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of visual merchandising experience in luxury or high‑volume retail; multi‑store or regional responsibilities strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing visual standards within a flagship or high‑profile store is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional aesthetic sensibility with deep understanding of luxury visual standards and brand storytelling.
- Highly self‑motivated, autonomous and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Demonstrated commercial mindset with ability to link visual execution to sales performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable partnering with senior store and regional leadership.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends and overnight installations as required.

Experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive visual merchandising experience within luxury or high‑volume retail settings; multi‑store or flagship experience strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Retail Management, Design or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
