Gucci seeks Senior Store Project Manager in Shanghai to lead retail development from design through operations, managing budgets, compliance, and cross-functional teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end store project delivery from design feasibility through construction and handover to operations teams, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders including landlords, consultants, and local authorities
  • Coordinate issuance of design submission packages to Italy with all relevant stakeholders within established timelines
  • Oversee tender management processes in collaboration with in-house contract manager and external consultants, from issue through queries, award, and final account reconciliation
  • Develop and manage project budgets and costs for assigned retail developments
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on project status and performance metrics
  • Consolidate and synthesize data and information for management review and decision-making
  • Support implementation of pop-up retail and promotional projects, coordinating with landlords, vendors, operations, and visual merchandising teams
  • Manage facility operations and maintenance during pre-opening periods and transitions
  • Maintain and enforce Gucci brand compliance standards across all assigned projects at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail store project management or commercial real estate development, preferably with luxury brands
  • Strong understanding of design, construction, and retail operations workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with budget management and cost control in complex projects
  • Knowledge of Chinese building codes, compliance requirements, and local submission processes
  • Familiarity with luxury brand standards and positioning

Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate Development, or related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
