Gucci seeks a Senior Retail Trainer in Seoul to lead learning strategy and drive retail team development across the Korean market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs for product collections, new joiner onboarding, and knowledge transfer initiatives aligned with store requirements
- Develop and lead training programs focused on selling skills, Selling Ritual, service excellence, and leadership to enhance retail team capability and performance
- Conduct regular store visits to deliver Spot Coaching and Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions, ensuring effective application of learning on the sales floor
- Translate, localize, and adapt global training materials and content in alignment with corporate learning strategies and local market priorities
- Analyze store-level business performance and capability gaps to design targeted training and coaching interventions
- Lead classroom training operations and oversee the continuous development, execution, and improvement of learning programs
- Partner with Retail, Merchandising, Human Resources, and cross-functional departments to align training initiatives with business objectives
- Monitor training program effectiveness through field feedback and business metrics, iterating content and delivery to optimize impact
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in team training delivery and one-on-one coaching, including product training and onboarding programs
- Strong comprehension of retail business dynamics and training strategy, with proven ability to plan and execute structured training programs
- Proficiency in English with demonstrated capability to translate and localize global content for local audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Sheets for training content development and data analysis
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership capabilities
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple workstreams and exercise ownership
- Genuine passion for adult learning, coaching, and people development with willingness to travel domestically for store visits and training delivery
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, retail training, or talent development roles, with demonstrated success designing and delivering training programs to retail teams at scale. Experience translating global content into local market context and managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously is essential.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Adult Education, Learning and Development, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred.
