Gucci hiring Senior Operations Controller in Los Angeles, CA. Oversee retail operations, inventory management, and luxury client experience at iconic The Grove boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute shipping, receiving, and merchandise movement processes, reporting any operational issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and taking necessary steps to resolve
  • Ensure timely and accurate movement of merchandise as directed by management, adhering to all procedures including transfers, returns-to-vendor (RTV), and damages documentation
  • Manage store inventory integrity by overseeing cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with support from Store Director or Operations Manager
  • Develop and implement ideas to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Support sales team in the selling process and ensure the highest level of client experience
  • Communicate discrepancies and operational issues immediately to management
  • Process repairs and damages on a timely basis according to company guidelines
  • Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
  • Pack, handle, and store merchandise according to Gucci standards and protocols
  • Place orders for office and store supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines
  • Support Store Operations Controllers to maintain accurate and organized inventory at all times

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of previous senior retail operations experience
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the retail industry
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
