Gucci Senior Operations Controller in Houston, Texas—oversee inventory, operations, and client experience at luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and resolving discrepancies
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of merchandise including transfers, returns-to-vendor (RTVs), and damage processing according to established procedures
- Manage store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation activities with support from Store Director or Operations Manager to maintain inventory accuracy
- Develop and implement ideas to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Support sales team in the selling process while maintaining the highest standards of luxury client experience
- Communicate all discrepancies and operational issues immediately to management for prompt resolution
- Maintain physical organization and proper storage of merchandise according to Gucci standards and handling requirements
- Place orders for office and store supplies as needed
- Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of senior retail operations experience
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with proven inventory management expertise
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to inspire trust and foster effective teamwork
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Physical capability to perform duties including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes

Experience
Minimum 3+ years of progressive senior retail operations experience in a luxury retail environment, with demonstrated success in inventory management, operational governance, and team support.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate degree preferred.
