Gucci is seeking a Senior Director of Digital Business to lead performance, development, and optimization of its digital business across the Americas, translating global strategy into market priorities and directing digital operations, merchandising, content, and performance. The role partners cross-functionally, owns commercial outcomes, and leads and develops the Digital Business team. The stated base salary range is $185,000–$200,000 annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive the Americas digital business strategy in partnership with the VP of Digital Business and Client Services and Global Digital teams.
- Monitor digital business performance and identify opportunities to improve Net Sales, Conversion, Traffic, Average Order Value, Net-Down Ratio, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Partner with Finance and senior leadership on annual sales planning, forecasting, budget revisions, and performance reporting.
- Develop actionable recommendations based on business performance, market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity.
- Support the identification and development of business cases for initiatives that drive digital revenue, profitability, client engagement, and experience.
- Track competitors and best-in-class digital retailers to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Merchandising, Digital Content, Digital Experience, and Marketing teams to maximize the digital potential of each collection, campaign, and Gucci long-lasting line.
- Oversee digital merchandising strategy execution, ensuring product presentation, content, navigation, and storytelling align with Gucci brand standards and commercial priorities.
- Ensure digital assortment, content, and merchandising strategies reflect market needs and client behaviors.
- Partner with Retail and Client Engagement to strengthen the connection between digital and physical channels and deliver a coordinated omnichannel client experience.
- Support the development of differentiated digital experiences that give clients compelling reasons to shop Gucci.com.
- Partner with Wholesale and relevant business teams to support consistent digital brand presentation across concession and online wholesale environments.
- Partner with Marketing & Communications and Global Digital teams to execute digital marketing strategies across SEM, SEO, affiliate, paid media, and emerging digital channels.
- Monitor digital marketing performance and identify opportunities to optimize traffic, customer acquisition, conversion, and return on investment.
- Support the development and implementation of digital campaigns that translate Gucci brand and product stories into the digital environment.

- Oversee execution of digital business projects and initiatives, ensuring appropriate prioritization, timelines, resources, and stakeholder alignment.
- Serve as a key regional stakeholder in developing and implementing the Gucci.com roadmap and other global Digital initiatives.
- Partner with Client Engagement, Client Services, Warehouse/Logistics, Retail Operations, and Technology teams to address operational requirements and enhance the omnichannel experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve digital processes, tools, and capabilities and support implementation of scalable solutions.
- Support strategic initiatives related to UX Design, Site User Experience, Client Experience, and Omnichannel Services.
- Ensure effective communication of digital priorities, initiatives, and business performance across the organization.
- Build strong partnerships with Merchandising, Retail, Marketing & Communications, Client Engagement, Client Services, Finance, Supply Chain, and other corporate functions.
- Act as a key point of contact between North America and Worldwide Digital teams, translating and executing global initiatives effectively.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital, Communications, or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in digital business, eCommerce, digital marketing, or luxury retail, preferably within a global luxury or premium consumer brand.
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing an eCommerce or digital business with responsibility for commercial performance.
- Strong understanding of digital retail, digital merchandising, content, customer experience, digital marketing, and omnichannel business models.
- Ability to translate digital strategy into actionable business priorities and measurable results.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and KPI management.
- Deep understanding of digital customer journeys and ability to translate customer insights into meaningful experience improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying trends, diagnosing performance issues, and developing actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work effectively within a global, matrixed organization and build strong partnerships with Worldwide teams.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience working with digital analytics, reporting, and eCommerce platforms.
