Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead creative ideation and design for men’s and women’s small leather goods (wallets, cardholders, coin purses, key holders, document cases) and accessories (hats, gloves, belts, charms) across Main Collection and Show lines.
  • Define seasonal concepts, moodboards and collection presentations that translate brand identity into commercially relevant product ranges.
  • Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings and visual renderings to communicate precise design intent to Product Development and Pattern Making teams.
  • Specify materials, finishes, colors and technical details (leathers, fabrics, metal hardware, closures, stitching) and oversee their application across samples.
  • Manage prototyping and fitting sessions; validate samples and ensure coherence between prototypes and original creative vision.
  • Collaborate closely with Leather Goods (LG) teams, Product Development, Merchandising and Production to ensure feasibility, quality and alignment with creative intent.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive benchmarks and cultural research to inform design direction and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Support internal presentations, runway preparation and sales materials as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in small leather goods and accessories design, with a substantial portfolio of finished products for luxury brands.
  • Exceptional sketching and technical drawing ability, with experience producing clear design documentation for development teams.
  • Deep knowledge of materials and construction techniques for leather goods, including hardware specification and finishing processes.
  • Strong experience in prototyping, fittings and sample validation, with the ability to resolve technical challenges collaboratively.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to lead design choices while aligning commercial and production constraints.
