Sales Planning Manager at Gucci, Seoul. Drive business growth through sales forecasting and open-to-buy management across channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual sales plans by category and typology, incorporating budget and forecast cycles while ensuring financial alignment with country strategic objectives
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Retail, and Finance to establish bottom-up, facts-based sales forecasts across all channels (Duty Paid, Duty Free, Outlet)
- Monitor sales performance versus plan and support regular forecast updates, coordinating with relevant teams on strategic adjustments
- Review and validate open-to-buy (OTB) allocations from headquarters, align with merchandise team, and support system uploads
- Conduct buying investment analysis based on OTB utilization and sales performance trends
- Support monthly inventory forecasting based on latest sales and purchase outlooks, reviewing status gaps with Finance and supply chain partners
- Develop sales plans for new store openings and other business requirements, coordinating with General Merchandise Manager and Merchandise Director
- Track outstanding orders based on sales trends and align actions with worldwide planning and merchandise teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sales planning, merchandising planning, or comparable commercial planning roles
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Korean
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated retail business insight
- Proven ability to manage complex forecasting models and open-to-buy processes
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in sales planning, merchandising planning, or related commercial planning roles within luxury retail or wholesale environments, with demonstrated expertise in forecasting, OTB management, and multi-channel business coordination.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
