Gucci seeks an RTW Tailor in Novara, Italy. Expert garment construction and prototyping for luxury collections. €27,000 annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Construct first prototypes and evaluate construction adjustments to improve garment fit in liaison with managers and pattern makers
- Revise garments based on fit corrections and technical feedback from cross-functional teams
- Construct sample garments and produce pre-production garments in their industrialized versions
- Accurately interpret and execute technical production specifications and patterns during garment assembly
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers and sample technicians to transform creative concepts into finished products of exceptional quality
- Support collection development throughout all stages, from prototype creation to sample production, ensuring adherence to timelines
- Maintain excellence in craftsmanship and attention to detail across all production work
Qualifications
- Minimum 4–5 years of expert experience in the garment production cycle and various manufacturing stages
- Diploma or equivalent certification in garment technology or tailoring
- Skilled in operating industrial machinery (overlock, lockstitch, and equivalent equipment)
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, yarns, and textile properties
- Proven experience with ironing and pressing techniques
- Fast and precise analytical ability in interpreting and executing patterns
- Demonstrated organizational and planning effectiveness
Skills
Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of specialist experience in garment production, encompassing the full manufacturing cycle from material preparation through assembly, finishing, and quality assessment. Prior experience in luxury or ready-to-wear production environments is advantageous.
Education
Diploma in garment technology, tailoring, or equivalent formal qualification in apparel manufacturing or textile production.
Workplace
This position is based in Novara, Piedmont, Italy, within easy reach of Milan.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 27,000 per annum.
