Gucci seeks an RTW Embroidery Purchasing Assistant in Novara, Italy to support embroidery sourcing and supplier coordination for ready-to-wear collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain embroidery master data and supplier records
- Liaise with Design and Product departments to align embroidery developments with collection requirements
- Monitor shipments of embroidery materials and track order status
- Inspect incoming embroidery against quality and technical specifications
- Maintain collection progress tracking tools and forecasting documentation
- Assess material requirements based on finished product orders using MRP logic
- Place purchase orders and production orders with suppliers; arrange material shipments
- Monitor progress during production stages and expedite overdue orders
- Reschedule deliveries for non-compliant products and resolve arising issues
- Prepare statistics, reports, and delivery forecasts upon request
- Manage supplier contracts and oversee accounting aspects of embroidery sourcing
- Support the team in identifying innovative embroidery solutions aligned with luxury quality standards and collection aesthetics
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in purchasing or product development within luxury brands
- Knowledge of suppliers, products, costs, and production processes in the embroidery sector
- Technical background or degree in Economics, Business, or a related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven approach to problem-solving
- Fluent English language proficiency
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of purchasing or product development experience in luxury brands, with demonstrated knowledge of suppliers, production processes, and embroidery techniques.
Education
Technical background or degree in Economics, Business, or equivalent discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Novara, Piedmont, Italy, with easy access to Milan.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
