Gucci is hiring a Retail Team Manager in Paris to lead sales teams, elevate client experience and drive store performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Foster a professional, supportive work environment built on mutual trust and exemplary management to achieve strong results.
  • Lead and coach the team on the sales floor to maintain an optimal client experience.
  • Provide close support and regular feedback to help team members progress, stay motivated, and embrace the company culture.
  • Conduct monthly team evaluations and implement action plans when needed to improve performance.
  • Contribute actively to recruitment and onboarding to build a team focused on excellence.
  • Support and monitor the team using tools such as Workday and ADP, as well as internal policies.
  • Act as the liaison between the Store Director and Human Resources on team matters, identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Assess the team's adherence to Gucci culture and procedures, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Support store opening and closing when required.
  • Lead morning briefings as needed, delivering strategic communications aligned with daily objectives.
  • Develop and coach the team on the sales floor so members can sell across all product categories.
  • Inspire and guide the team to deliver a distinctive in-store client experience rooted in Gucci's standards of excellence, ensuring client welcome is a core part of sales fundamentals.
  • Ensure the team builds long-term commercial relationships and client loyalty.
  • Ensure the team uses the available tools to train and retain team members and develop the client portfolio.
  • Coordinate client development activities and initiatives to achieve sales objectives.
  • Review the performance of assigned sales associates daily, weekly, or monthly on client-related topics, supporting them in pursuing excellence.
  • Manage the assigned area, ensuring sales are completed in accordance with Gucci sales procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate client flow in the store to ensure exceptional service.
  • Handle client disputes to sustain long-term relationships.
  • Monitor sales performance by product category and proactively implement actions to meet store targets.
  • Work closely with the Store Director and merchandising team, sharing real-time feedback on products sold, stock levels, and specific client requests to grow revenue.
  • Work with the Store Director and Visual Merchandiser to propose ways to maximize product sales while adhering to guidelines.
  • Partner with the Store Director and training team to develop sales associates' knowledge across product categories through training, and ensure they understand competing products and luxury market trends.
  • Use available digital tools to develop store sales through online selling.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving and checking deliveries and organizing the stockroom.
  • Prepare and package products before checkout.
  • Process cash register transactions and ensure payment accuracy.
  • Support store operations during temporary workload peaks, including greeting clients, tidying, and minor maintenance.
