Gucci Korea in Seoul seeks a Retail People Partner to lead HR for retail operations—onboarding, talent, ER and Workday-driven HR analytics.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and continuously improve onboarding and induction programmes, including 30/60/90-day probation evaluations and in-store training to ensure rapid assimilation to Gucci mindsets and standards.
  • Partner with retail leadership to define organisation design, lead change management initiatives and create clear position descriptions to align structure with retail strategy.
  • Lead talent management activities: seasonally review talent, drive internal mobility, coach managers on performance and development processes and construct employee development plans tied to sales performance.
  • Provide employee relations counsel and case management for complex performance, disciplinary and grievance issues; coordinate with legal partners and external counsel on compliance matters.
  • Administer HR processes end-to-end in HRIS (Workday), ensuring accuracy of lifecycle data (hiring, probation, transfers, promotions, leave, termination) and integrity of HR KPI reporting (headcount, turnover, budget).
  • Design and deliver learning and leadership programmes in close alignment with WW HR; monitor L&D adoption and report related KPIs.
  • Produce data-driven insights and monthly reports to inform strategic decision-making and workforce planning across retail sites.
  • Manage exit interviews, separation agreements and turnover analyses; recommend continuous improvements to HR policies and practices.
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition programmes and internal communications to protect and promote company culture and values.
  • Maintain a regular presence across retail locations (up to 40% travel) to build credibility, coach managers and ensure consistent HR execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Proven HR leadership experience within luxury retail or a comparable high-end retail environment.
  • Deep knowledge of employment practices, labor law and employee relations, including dispute resolution and performance management.
  • Demonstrable ability to align HR strategy with retail business objectives and to operate in a matrixed, multi-site environment.
  • Flexibility for domestic travel and multi-location working; capacity to manage multiple priority projects concurrently.
  • Fluent in Korean and English.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and coaching capabilities.

Experience
