Gucci seeks a Retail Merchandising Manager for Women's Shoes in Milan, Italy. Lead global category performance with €55k base + 15% bonus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate market intelligence from regions and channels, analyzing business trends, competitor offerings, and product needs to inform strategic decision-making
- Conduct quantitative analysis to define Master Orders, ensuring a balanced global product mix aligned with Collection Merchandising seasonal messages and core product selection
- Collaborate with the planning team to define open-to-buy parameters and manage regional splits
- Monitor and optimize stock levels across regions and channels to maximize sales performance; analyze selling trends and recommend actions on reorders, cancellations, and slow-moving inventory
- Partner with regional buyers to gather product feedback and market insights; conduct qualitative daily analysis and provide visual merchandising and merchandise relocation recommendations to Collection Merchandising and Merchandising Management
- Support the demand planning team in managing continuous item orders
- Act as a reference point for the assigned category and market, ensuring proper translation of headquarters directives into regional merchandising team execution
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar merchandising or buying role within the luxury or fashion industry
- Deep product knowledge and passion for the Women's Shoes category
- Proven experience managing inventory in large-volume distribution environments
- Proficiency in English
- Advanced analytical and numerical capabilities
- Sound business acumen and commercial awareness
- Educational background in business management or equivalent
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint applications

Experience
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in merchandising, buying, or category management roles within the luxury or fashion industry, with demonstrated expertise in large-volume distribution and Women's Shoes categories. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of driving business results through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
Education
Educational background preferably in business management, economics, or related discipline. Equivalent professional experience in luxury fashion merchandising may be considered.

This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 55,000 per annum.
