Gucci seeks a Retail Merchandiser, Ready-to-Wear in Milano, Italy to coordinate master orders, optimize inventory, and support strategic buying across regions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate regional and channel inputs on business trends, product requirements, and competitive offerings
- Conduct buying preparation analyses covering efficiency, average pricing, SKU targets, and store rankings
- Coordinate with Collection Merchandising to define key seasonal messages and core product selection
- Manage master order activities and assortment distribution by region and channel, ensuring balanced global mix with proper pricing and delivery segmentation
- Define and distribute master order quantities across regions and channels
- Establish Open-to-Buy (OTB) targets with the Planning team and cascade to individual channel plans
- Coordinate the buying process by region to prepare final review sessions
- Define central bulk orders and manage weekly allocations to regions
- Monitor inventory levels across regions, channels, and flagship stores to optimize stock and maximize sales
- Analyze selling trends and supply patterns; recommend reorders and cancellations to regions
- Conduct daily data analysis and reporting
- Generate insights on visual merchandising placement and product relocation opportunities
- Serve as primary reference point for assigned categories and markets with regional merchandising teams
- Ensure headquarters strategic messages are accurately translated across regional structures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Ready-to-Wear (RTW) merchandiser in the fashion or luxury goods industry
- Educational background in business management or related field
- Fluency in English
- Strong product sensitivity and demonstrated passion for the women's ready-to-wear category
- Sound analytical and numerical capabilities
- Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Ready-to-Wear merchandiser within the fashion or luxury goods sector, demonstrating a track record in master order coordination, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with regional buyers and merchandising teams.
Education
Educational background preferably in business management or a related discipline.
Workplace
This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 38,000 per annum.
