Gucci Retail Merchandise Manager (West) — Beverly Hills: lead merchandising, store strategy and buying support across the Western market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the market expert for Western stores, ensuring assortments, visual standards and retail KPIs align with commercial objectives.
  • Conduct regular store visits across the West (weekly for LA Metro) to identify opportunities, deliver actionable feedback and follow up on implementation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between retail teams and buyers: provide qualitative and quantitative market intelligence to influence assortments and buying decisions.
  • Lead cross‑functional coordination with Visual Merchandising, CRM, Inventory Planning, Events and Marketing to execute store initiatives and campaigns.
  • Use RDM 2.0, LUCE and ELITE surveys (and other reporting) to analyse category performance, identify slow movers and best sellers, and recommend corrective merchandising actions.
  • Design and deliver product and selling‑ceremony trainings for client advisors to uplift product knowledge and selling performance.
  • Optimize stock productivity and proximity stock utilisation through category zoning reviews, BOH organisation and visual display planning.
  • Drive clienteling and customer‑experience improvements by analysing clientele profiles, VIG behaviour and store traffic flow; support CRM and events execution.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends; report insights to regional buyers and recommend competitive responses.
  • Establish cross‑functional monthly review meetings and document best practices for potential roll‑out to other stores.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant buying/merchandising experience within a fashion or luxury retail environment.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams at store or regional level.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Flexibility to travel at short notice and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business requires.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
