Gucci seeks an Operations Manager in Rosemont (Chicago Fashion Outlet) to lead store and back‑of‑house operations, inventory and omnichannel execution.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and continuously improve the store’s operational strategy to ensure efficiency, adherence to KPI dashboards and commercial alignment.
  • Manage and organise all back‑of‑house areas (stock rooms, proximity areas, cash counters, tailoring/maintenance and holding areas) to guarantee operational readiness.
  • Develop and execute inventory-management strategies, lead store cycle counts, reconcile stock and minimise shrinkage and stock losses.
  • Oversee cash and payment flows (cash, store credits, deposits, special orders, discounts), ensure daily tills reconciliation and report discrepancies to Finance/Accounting/Kering Services and Store Management.
  • Own omnichannel operations execution including in‑store collection, pay‑by‑link transactions, in‑store iPad processes and appointment booking services.
  • Act as the cross‑functional operational contact with Retail, Security, Facilities, Inventory Control, Kering Service, Digital and Merchandising to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure all operations tools and IT systems are functioning and used effectively; supervise general store maintenance and IT equipment availability.
  • Lead the product care team to deliver efficient pre‑ and post‑sale services and meet related KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, health & safety standards and security procedures to prevent theft, fraud and losses.
  • Support store openings, closures, refurbishments and temporary stores; assist with floor coverage, client purchases and store opening/closing procedures.
  • Plan and deliver communication and training for new operational policies and tools; mentor and train new hires and other Operations Managers within the market or region.
  • Support the Store Director in cost control, efficiency initiatives and uniform ordering/allocation processes.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity and propose operational initiatives to drive business performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of retail operations management experience, ideally within luxury retail or high‑end fashion.
  • Proven track record managing inventory, logistics and store operations with measurable results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise business needs, solve problems and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism and integrity with the ability to inspire trust and influence across all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction in an international, multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability to coach, develop and motivate teams; experience conducting performance and development conversations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.

Experience
