The Operations Controller supports Gucci boutique operations in Sunrise by overseeing stockroom efficiency, merchandise movement, inventory accuracy, and day-to-day operational issues. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving, inventory counts and reconciliations, compliance, repairs, documentation, and supply orders; the role requires at least 2–3 years of similar experience, preferably in fashion retail or luxury.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee an efficient stockroom and maintain accurate inventory, providing operational support to the business.
- Execute shipping and receiving processes, report issues to the Store Director or Operations Manager, and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
- Move merchandise promptly as directed by the Store Director or Operations Manager, following procedures and guidelines for transfers, returns to vendor (RTVs), and damages.
- Help the Store Director or Operations Manager identify and resolve operational process issues promptly.
- Maintain clear, accurate operational documents and procedures for reference.
- Submit required tax-exempt forms as they are received.
- Communicate discrepancies and issues to management immediately.
- Process repairs and damages promptly in accordance with company guidelines.
- Assist with the physical maintenance of the boutique.
- Order office and store supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines.
- Maintain an accurate, organized store inventory at all times.
- Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliations with support and direction from the Store Director or Operations Manager.
- Support management with day-to-day operations, including troubleshooting operational, service, facilities, and compliance issues.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fashion retail or the luxury sector.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to inspire trust and teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes.
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including merchandise receiving, tracking, and storage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the retail industry.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes.
