Gucci Operations Controller position in San Marcos, part-time fixed-term role managing inventory and store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and resolving them promptly
  • Ensure timely movement of merchandise through transfers, returns, and damage management while adhering to all procedures and guidelines
  • Identify and resolve operational process problems efficiently and in a timely manner in collaboration with management
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documentation and procedures for reference purposes
  • Submit all required tax-exempt forms as received
  • Communicate discrepancies and issues immediately to management
  • Process repairs and damages according to company guidelines on a timely basis
  • Assist with physical maintenance of the boutique
  • Place orders for all office and store supplies as needed
  • Execute and maintain an accurate and organized store inventory at all times
  • Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with support from Store Director or Operations Manager
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion retail industry or luxury sector
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the retail industry
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
