Gucci Operations Controller (Fixed Term) – San Francisco: manage stockroom, inventory, and store operations. $22–$24/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute shipping and receiving processes and report issues to Store Director or Operations Manager for timely resolution
  • Ensure timely movement of merchandise including transfers, return-to-vendor, and damage processing according to established procedures
  • Identify and resolve operational problems in collaboration with Store Director or Operations Manager
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documents and procedures for reference purposes
  • Submit all required tax-exempt forms as received
  • Communicate discrepancies and issues immediately to management
  • Process repairs and damages on merchandise in compliance with company guidelines
  • Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
  • Place orders for office and store supplies as needed
  • Execute and maintain accurate and organized store inventory at all times
  • Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with direction from Store Director or Operations Manager
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or stockroom role, preferably within luxury fashion retail
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity with demonstrated ability to inspire trust and teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management systems, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays as required by retail operations
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
