Gucci Operations Controller in Paramus, NJ. Manage inventory and stockroom operations for luxury boutique. $24–$25/hr. Full-time position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and resolving discrepancies efficiently
  • Ensure timely movement of merchandise including transfers, returns-to-vendor (RTV), and damage claims while adhering to all procedures and guidelines
  • Identify and resolve operational problems in collaboration with Store Director or Operations Manager in a quick and timely manner
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documents and procedures for reference purposes
  • Submit all required tax-exempt forms as received
  • Communicate all discrepancies and issues immediately to management
  • Process repairs and damages on a timely basis according to company guidelines
  • Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
  • Place orders as needed for all office and store supplies
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines
  • Execute and maintain accurate and organized store inventory at all times
  • Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with support from Store Director or Operations Manager

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or inventory management role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and encourage teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as required in retail
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes

Experience

2–3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, stock control, and operational troubleshooting in a retail environment is essential.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory management, supply chain operations, or retail management is valued but not required.
