Gucci Operations Controller position in New York. Oversee stockroom, inventory management, and retail operations support. $25–$26/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and implementing timely resolutions
  • Ensure timely movement of merchandise including transfers, returns-to-vendor (RTV), and damage documentation while maintaining full adherence to company procedures
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and collaborate with management to resolve issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain organized and accurate operations documentation and procedures for team reference
  • Submit all required tax-exempt forms upon receipt
  • Communicate operational discrepancies and issues to management immediately
  • Process merchandise repairs and damage claims on a timely basis in accordance with company guidelines
  • Support physical maintenance and cleanliness of the boutique
  • Place and manage supply orders for office and store materials
  • Execute and maintain accurate, organized store inventory at all times
  • Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with Store Director or Operations Manager support
  • Ensure full compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines

Qualifications

  • Previous 2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or inventory management role, preferably within the fashion retail industry or luxury sector
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity with ability to inspire trust and foster teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in stock management processes
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and prioritize competing demands
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with store management, sales teams, and staff
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as required by retail operations
  • Physical capability to climb ladders, bend, lift boxes, and meet all physical requirements of the position
