Gucci Operations Controller — New York: oversee stockroom, inventory and store operations at Gucci Fifth Avenue in New York.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving procedures; log discrepancies and escalate issues to the Store Director or Operations Manager and drive resolution.
- Manage movement of merchandise — transfers, return-to-vendor (RTV) processes, and damaged-goods handling — in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform and reconcile cycle counts and scheduled inventories; maintain accurate, organized store inventory at all times.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date operations documentation and standard operating procedures for reference and audit purposes.
- Process repairs and damage claims promptly and in line with corporate policies.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, service or facilities issues immediately to management and support corrective actions.
- Support physical maintenance of the boutique, including placing orders for office and store supplies and assisting with facilities tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, security guidelines and any applicable tax-exempt documentation procedures.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or inventory role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector.
- High degree of ethics, professionalism and integrity with the ability to inspire trust and collaborate across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage inventory processes efficiently.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in stock management and reconciliation tasks.
- Proven knowledge of stock control procedures and use of inventory management software.
- Effective verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with store management, sales teams and external partners.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays; capability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting, bending, climbing).

Experience
Minimum 2–3 years in an operations, inventory or stock-control function within retail—experience in luxury fashion retail strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in logistics, supply chain or retail operations preferred.
