Gucci Operations Controller position at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in Montreal. Manage inventory, coordinate operations, and support retail excellence in a luxury boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Oversee accurate organization and maintenance of stockroom inventory at all times
  • Facilitate timely movement of merchandise including transfers, returns, and damaged goods according to company procedures
  • Conduct and support store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and inventory reconciliation under direction of Store Director or Operations Manager
  • Process repairs and damages on a timely basis in accordance with company guidelines
  • Assist sales team in locating inventory items and fulfilling customer requests
  • Support sales associates in preparation for VIP client appointments and transaction processing
  • Manage point-of-sale operations including wrapping merchandise and processing payment transactions
  • Facilitate merchandise transfer requests, deferred sales, and product inquiries
  • Collect accurate customer data during transaction completion and follow up on missing information
  • Handle multi-line telephone system with professional standards and route calls appropriately
  • Maintain clear and accurate operational documentation and procedures for reference
  • Submit required forms including 8300s and tax-exempt documentation as received
  • Contribute to physical maintenance and cleanliness of the boutique
  • Place supply orders for office and store materials as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, security guidelines, and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or inventory experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment
  • Proficiency with internal retail systems and shipping software programs
  • Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
