Gucci Operations Controller position in Houston, Texas. Part-time role managing inventory and store operations for a luxury fashion boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving processes while reporting issues and resolutions to Store Director or Operations Manager
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of merchandise including transfers, returns-to-vendor, and damage processing
- Identify operational problems and implement timely resolutions in collaboration with store management
- Maintain organized and accurate operational documentation and procedures for team reference
- Process tax-exempt forms and submit all required documentation as received
- Communicate discrepancies and issues to management immediately upon discovery
- Conduct repairs and damage assessments according to company guidelines
- Support physical maintenance of the boutique facilities
- Place orders for office and store supplies as needed
- Execute and maintain accurate store inventory at all times
- Perform cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with Store Director or Operations Manager guidance
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security protocols
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fashion retail or luxury sector
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail in stock management processes
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, multitasking environments
- Excellent communication skills with store management, sales teams, and staff
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing, bending, and lifting
Skills
Experience
2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or inventory management role, preferably within the fashion retail or luxury goods sector.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; further retail operations or inventory management certification preferred.
