Gucci Operations Controller position in Boston, MA. Manage boutique inventory, stockroom operations, and merchandise coordination. $25–$26/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting discrepancies to Store Director or Operations Manager and implementing timely resolutions
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of merchandise including transfers, returns-to-vendor, and damage documentation per company guidelines
- Identify and troubleshoot operational, service, facilities, and compliance issues in collaboration with management
- Maintain clear and accurate operations documents and procedures for staff reference and training
- Submit all required tax-exempt forms and documentation as received
- Process repairs and merchandise damages on a timely basis according to company protocols
- Execute and maintain accurate store inventory at all times through systematic organization
- Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and inventory reconciliation under Store Director or Operations Manager direction
- Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
- Place orders for office and store supplies as needed
- Ensure strict compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines
- Communicate all discrepancies and operational issues immediately to management
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in a similar operations or inventory management role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity with demonstrated ability to inspire trust and foster teamwork
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage inventory efficiently and accurately
- Meticulous attention to detail in stock management and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and staff members
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays as required by retail operations
- Physical capability to meet position requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
Skills
Experience
2–3+ years of experience in operations, inventory management, or related roles, preferably in fashion retail or luxury retail environments. Prior experience with stockroom management, inventory systems, and retail operations procedures is essential.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in inventory management, supply chain operations, or retail management is advantageous.
