Gucci seeks a Merchandise and Business Planner in New York to lead sales forecasting, open‑to‑buy and inventory planning for the brand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop store-, channel- and department-level sales projections to support assortment and inventory decisions.
  • Support annual budgeting, seasonal forecasting and merchandise planning cycles.
  • Track performance versus targets, analyze key business drivers and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform open-to-buy analysis, monitor receipts and ensure inventory cadence aligns with sales velocities.
  • Create clear, visually impactful reports and presentations for commercial leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance and Operations to align inventory, assortment and investment strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

  • BA in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation or financial analysis, preferably within retail or fashion.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, open-to-buy and merchandise planning metrics.
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across functions.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
