Gucci in Milan seeks a Men's Leather Goods Designer to develop men's leather collections and special projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Research trends, archival references and materials to inform seasonal themes and product concepts for men's leather goods and special projects.
- Develop concept sketches and technical drawings from Senior Designer/Design Director inputs; iterate designs and produce real-size mock-ups.
- Apply graphic corrections and develop renderings, specifying colours, materials and finishes according to the brand aesthetic.
- Coordinate continuously with Manufacturing and Merchandising to ensure feasibility, cost and industrial production alignment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other categories to guarantee collection coherence and to integrate Artistic Director guidance.
- Communicate clear technical briefings and product details (sizes, proportions, construction needs) to internal stakeholders and suppliers, proposing solutions when issues arise.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years' experience in a similar role within luxury leather goods or high-end accessories.
- Strong knowledge of product development, constructions, materials, fabrication techniques and industrial production processes.
- Deep culture of fashion, trends, designers and an understanding of the Brand's heritage.
- Excellent freehand drawing and rendering skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multi‑cultural teams and to work under pressure while maintaining focus and energy.
- Fluency in English.

Experience
Five to seven years designing men's leather goods or accessories for luxury brands, with hands-on involvement in product development, prototyping and coordination with manufacturing and merchandising teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Industrial Design or equivalent professional experience.
