Gucci seeks a Junior Product Developer in Milan to support the Creative Atelier, RTW development, fittings and atelier logistics.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of the Creative Atelier and Product Development team to ensure smooth execution of creative and technical activities.
  • Manage ordering, inventory and stock control of atelier materials and office supplies to guarantee continuous availability for tailoring and development tasks.
  • Assist during RTW fittings, take detailed fit notes and update fitting and collection documentation for pattern makers and designers.
  • Prepare and maintain project delivery timelines, handover documentation and organised files containing fitting information and collection details.
  • Coordinate courier and shipment requests and monitor deliveries and related logistics activities.
  • Generate IT support tickets (with Kering IT and Lectra) and facilitate setup of profiles and technical assistance for new hires.
  • Liaise with General Services, internal teams and external vendors/suppliers to support ordinary and extraordinary resource requests and ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years' experience in product development or atelier operations, preferably within RTW development for luxury or premium fashion brands.
  • Fluency in Italian and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrable accuracy in expense reporting, shipment monitoring and accessory cataloguing.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and creating support tickets for technical issues; willingness to learn proprietary software.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent logistics needs and availability to travel occasionally within Italy and abroad.

Experience

1–2 years in a similar product development, atelier or technical assistant role, ideally within ready-to-wear development for luxury or premium brands.

Education

Degree or diploma in fashion design, textile technology, product development or related field; vocational qualifications and relevant practical experience are acceptable.
