Gucci Milan: Junior Designer, Men's Footwear. Support footwear collection development under Senior Designers' guidance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Research fashion trends, materials, and innovations within the footwear category and monitor the luxury market to identify new opportunities
- Support the development of mood boards and creative concepts drawing from archives, suppliers, vintage markets, exhibitions, and digital sources
- Assist in the design and development of Men's shoes under the direction of Senior Designers
- Produce sketches, renderings, and technical drawings; contribute new ideas and creative proposals aligned with brand identity
- Update and adapt existing designs following feedback regarding materials, colors, and proportions
- Collaborate with Product Development to ensure design feasibility and participate in fittings and prototype reviews
- Follow up on sample corrections and adjustments to ensure consistency with initial concepts
- Work closely with Merchandising, Product Development, and other design categories to ensure collection coherence
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support the design and development process
- Prepare design materials, boards, and presentations for collection reviews and fashion shows
- Maintain organized archives of drawings, references, and design developments
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in footwear or accessories design
- Degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong sketching and illustration skills
- Creative mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of footwear construction and materials (preferred)
- Fluency in English; Italian is advantageous

Experience
1–3 years of professional experience in footwear or accessories design, demonstrating competency in design development, illustration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams within a luxury or fashion environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a closely related discipline.
Workplace
This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
