Gucci Novara seeks experienced RTW Ironer for luxury garment finishing and prototype development. €32,000 annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute the ironing process for first prototypes and sample garments according to technical specifications and industrialization requirements
- Collaborate with the manager, pattern makers, and technicians to evaluate constructive changes aimed at optimizing fit and finish
- Maintain compliance with high-quality standards and manufacturing excellence throughout all phases of garment development
- Accurately interpret and apply technical and production specifications during the pressing and finishing process
- Manage the preparation, intermediate ironing, and final finishing stages of outerwear and light prototype samples
- Contribute to adherence to development timelines while preserving quality and precision standards
- Foster teamwork and continuous collaboration with product development and creative teams to support collection evolution
Qualifications
- Diploma or professional qualification in Clothing Technology, Tailoring, or equivalent
- Proven experience in ironing and finishing activities within luxury or high-end garment production
- Comprehensive knowledge of the clothing production cycle with specialization in pressing and finishing phases
- Proficiency with industrial ironing and pressing machinery
- Strong working knowledge of fabrics, yarns, and advanced garment construction techniques
- Demonstrated speed and precision in the analysis and interpretation of technical patterns
- Fluent Italian language skills; proficiency in a second language is advantageous
Skills
Experience
In-depth professional experience in the ironing and finishing phases of luxury garment production, with demonstrable expertise in handling prototype and sample development cycles. Experience in specialized pressing techniques for outerwear and refined textiles is essential.
Education
Diploma in Clothing Technology, Tailoring, Fashion Manufacturing, or equivalent professional qualification.
Workplace
This position is based in Novara, Piedmont, Italy, within easy reach of Milan.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 32,000 per annum.
