Gucci seeks a Footwear Cutter in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy — experienced professional to cut premium leathers for women's footwear at Il Castello.
Role & Responsibilities
- Cut leathers and premium materials for the production of women's footwear according to model specifications.
- Follow technical datasheets, pattern instructions and production timing to meet quality and delivery targets.
- Optimize material usage to minimise waste and maximise yield.
- Inspect incoming materials, identify and report defects or critical issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure consistent quality and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' proven experience in footwear cutting or upper production.
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision and sensitivity to material quality.
- Ability to read and apply technical datasheets and pattern information.
- Strong team orientation with a results-driven mindset.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of hands‑on experience in footwear cutting or a closely related role within shoemaking/upper production, demonstrating mastery of cutting techniques and material handling.
Education
Vocational diploma or equivalent training in leather goods, shoemaking or a related craft is preferred; substantial relevant on‑the‑job experience will be accepted.
