Gucci Director of Retail Operations in New York — lead regional store operations, drive excellence and compliance. Base salary $160,000–$180,000.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive a culture of excellence in Operations and develop regional teams to proactively achieve department and company objectives
  • Lead daily operational improvements through development and implementation of regional and worldwide retail programs, with ongoing market involvement to identify talent for future opportunities
  • Conduct market visits to support Regional Managers, ensuring front and back of house standards, operational processes, and compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Implement efficient KPI reporting and monitoring as they relate to operational productivity, client KPIs, operating costs, and inventory control (shrinkage)
  • Assess, analyze, and implement retail projects that improve store efficiencies, productivity, and client experience
  • Collaborate on budget and forecast operating expense plans with regional teams and provide comprehensive reporting to management
  • Ensure innovative tools and business applications are appropriately developed and implemented across the region
  • Work closely with retail, technology, and analytics departments to ensure selling tools, Kering projects, and KPI analytics are useful and well established
  • Serve as regional leader for the Worldwide Retail Excellence Program, focusing on client-centric approach and consistent client experience across all channels
  • Lead improvements in processes, standards, and policies to enhance store efficiencies and productivity
  • Ensure federal and state regulations and ordinances are adhered to throughout all retail operations
  • Develop and implement improved systems on regional and worldwide levels with gap analysis, business requirements, proper training, and effective roll-out execution
  • Enhance device and application usage with focus on client experience and develop guides and directives to address client engagement
  • Lead enhancement of operational user guides and develop operational training programs
  • Establish store operation regional calls to build awareness, share best practices, and enhance efficiency and retail programs
  • Partner with Store Planning in providing feedback during project phases and support Regional Managers in planning operational support for new, renovated, and outlet store openings

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of store management experience, ideally in a regional capacity
  • Proven track record managing teams to drive results and achieving successful sales, clienteling, and operational activities
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and implement ideas successfully
  • Strong project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams including Financial, Store Planning, Merchandising, Logistics, After Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels within an organization
  • Capability to quickly recognize foreseeable risks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
