Role & Responsibilities
- Support the team to consistently meet and exceed guest expectations in the bar service environment
- Provide attentive and proactive assistance to guests throughout their visit
- Collaborate with the Head Bartender to plan and execute drink and food service operations
- Verify customer age and ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations
- Maintain rigorous food safety and quality standards in accordance with HACCP protocols
- Process payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions while managing till reconciliation
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including glass washing, table clearing, and equipment upkeep
- Take guest orders and ensure a memorable service experience
- Participate in restaurant opening and closing procedures, including silverware polishing and condiment preparation
- Deliver customer dishes from kitchen to tables with precision and professionalism
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the Italian bar industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of wines and spirits
- Full awareness of HACCP food safety standards and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Professional approach to alcohol service compliance
Skills
Experience
Required: minimum experience in the Italian bar industry. Preferred: international hospitality experience and achievements demonstrating service excellence.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; specific bar service certifications or hospitality training a plus.
