Gucci is hiring a Commis Chef in Florence, Italy — support the Gucci Osteria team in food preparation and kitchen operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare mise-en-place and execute basic culinary tasks (vegetable cutting, egg preparation, sauce preparation) with precision and attention to detail.
  • Support Chefs de Partie in daily production and ensure timely delivery of all preparations.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization and correct storage of products to guarantee food quality and preservation.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen machinery and equipment following operational procedures.
  • Provide operational support during service peaks and perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by senior kitchen staff.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in a kitchen within the tourism or hospitality sector.
  • Fluent in English or Italian (spoken).
  • Professional appearance with polished personal grooming.
  • Solid interpersonal, team-working and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of standard kitchen operating procedures and food preservation techniques.
  • Familiarity with current basic food safety regulations and safety standards.
