Gucci is hiring a Commis Chef in Florence, Italy — support the Gucci Osteria team in food preparation and kitchen operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare mise-en-place and execute basic culinary tasks (vegetable cutting, egg preparation, sauce preparation) with precision and attention to detail.
- Support Chefs de Partie in daily production and ensure timely delivery of all preparations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization and correct storage of products to guarantee food quality and preservation.
- Operate and maintain kitchen machinery and equipment following operational procedures.
- Provide operational support during service peaks and perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by senior kitchen staff.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a kitchen within the tourism or hospitality sector.
- Fluent in English or Italian (spoken).
- Professional appearance with polished personal grooming.
- Solid interpersonal, team-working and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of standard kitchen operating procedures and food preservation techniques.
- Familiarity with current basic food safety regulations and safety standards.
Skills
Experience
At least one year of hands-on experience working in a professional kitchen within the tourism or hospitality industry, supporting line cooks or Chef de Partie.
Education
Vocational diploma or certificate in culinary arts or equivalent practical culinary training preferred.
