Gucci is seeking a Client Advisor in Costa Mesa to build client relationships, deliver personalized luxury service, and drive in-store and remote sales while supporting product presentation and store operations. The role offers an estimated base pay of $16.90–$18.00 per hour, plus stated benefits and potential incentive-program participation for eligible employees.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage clients and build strong relationships, making them feel valued and at ease from first contact through best-in-class in-store and remote service.
  • Deliver personalized, client-centric experiences that foster lasting relationships, repeat business, and brand loyalty.
  • Discover clients’ needs and aspirations, build rapport and personal connections, and exceed expectations with generosity.
  • Recruit new clients and develop the existing client base.
  • Use in-store technology to provide a smooth, pleasant, and relevant client experience.
  • Collect client information throughout the journey to understand preferences and tailor service.
  • Enrich the client experience with useful insights on local lifestyle trends, including theatre, arts, and travel.
  • Drive individual and collective sales results and maximize in-store and remote selling opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional, hospitality-led client experiences through selling skills, luxury gestures, and product rituals.
  • Use effective selling techniques in a natural, warm, elevated manner while maintaining a client-centric approach.
  • Select products that match client needs and benefits, using cross-selling and upselling techniques.
  • Promote virtual appointments and distance sales, recruiting clients to create selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a “One-Gucci-Client” perspective across purchase locations and handle exchanges, returns, repairs, and other transactions to support a positive client experience.
  • Guide and inspire clients to make informed decisions and purchase the right product.
  • Communicate openly and constructively with team members, collaborate, and propose effective solutions.
  • Use Gucci and product knowledge, storytelling, and honest styling advice to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Attend training to strengthen product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Stay current on fashion trends, competitors’ products, campaigns and services, and client segments to identify suitable solutions.
  • Apply styling knowledge to recommend products that best serve the client.
  • Embody Gucci’s philosophy, values, and lifestyle with enthusiasm.
  • Participate in store operations, including stock maintenance and inventory.
  • Follow policies and procedures, with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence.
  • Process POS transactions accurately and ensure accurate capture of client information.
  • Maintain product displays in accordance with Gucci visual standards.
  • Follow company grooming requirements and Gucci standards and policies.
  • Ensure optimal product levels on the sales floor in line with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage general store administration and functionality.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of luxury fashion sales experience, with an excellent track record, preferably in a similar role or customer service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and exceed individual and store results and build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to inspire trust and collaboration among colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Deep knowledge of fashion and luxury.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and client orientation.
  • High flexibility and ability to adapt to different clients and complex situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
