Gucci Chef de Rang in Florence — deliver refined bar and table service, support the Head Bartender and ensure HACCP and alcohol-service compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, anticipatory guest service at the bar and adjacent dining areas to meet luxury hospitality standards.
- Support the Head Bartender in planning and executing drink and food service during shifts and events.
- Take and deliver orders, clear and prepare tables, and ensure guests feel well looked after throughout their visit.
- Verify customer age and check identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations.
- Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately and balance the till at shift end.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards in all service and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the work and dining areas, including glassware, utensils and side duties (polishing, refilling condiments).
- Assist with restaurant opening and closing duties and perform other operational tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the Italian bar/restaurant sector.
- Solid knowledge of wine and spirits and the ability to present and recommend beverages to guests.
- Familiarity with and commitment to HACCP and food-safety protocols.
- Ability to process payments accurately and manage cash handling responsibilities.
- Professional, proactive and reliable demeanour with a service-minded attitude.
- Open to constructive feedback and continuously seeking operational improvements.
- Previous international experience or exposure to high-end hospitality environments is an advantage.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience working in the Italian bar or upscale beverage-service environment is required; international or luxury-hospitality experience is a distinct advantage.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or hospitality/bar service training preferred.
