Gucci seeks an Associate Store Director in Honolulu to partner with the Store Director in leading store operations, sales performance, client experience, and team development, while acting as Store Director when needed. The role oversees clienteling and CRM, recruitment, inventory, visual merchandising, compliance, and profitability; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Gucci’s values and client-centric strategy, fostering excellence, hospitality, and passion.
  • Partner with the Store Director to lead store activities, deliver business objectives and KPIs, and execute company strategy and functional guidelines; act as Store Director when needed and represent Gucci as a brand ambassador.
  • Lead teams in delivering superior client-centric service and after-sales experiences that achieve consistently high client satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement of client experience and loyalty in line with the highest standards of hospitality, elevation, and exclusivity.
  • Develop local events and business opportunities through networking and top-client relationships.
  • Drive collaboration on clienteling activities and training.
  • Monitor, develop, implement, and execute CRM and client development initiatives; guide teams in creating action plans and personalized future client development opportunities.
  • Oversee the use of clienteling tools to drive client loyalty and acquisition.
  • Guide teams in managing selling-floor client flow to ensure every client is assisted and receives exceptional service.
  • Coach teams to resolve client service issues and retain and enrich client relationships.
  • Lead company-driven local events and product launches, ensuring client attendance and sales results.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and prospects in the store’s area and stay connected to local trends and developments.
  • Model professionalism, ethics, servant leadership, and a passionate attitude with employees and clients.
  • Help Team Managers manage team performance and development, engage top performers, and improve performance among underperformers.
  • Foster a growth and can-do mindset, challenging team members to pursue innovative solutions while upholding ethics and professionalism.
  • Develop team performance through timely feedback, on-the-job coaching and check-ins, and career conversations during the annual Performance and Development Review process.
  • Promote accountability and talent development, retention, engagement, career action plans, and mobility.
  • Lead effective Store Briefings to communicate business objectives and action plans, balancing business and people priorities.
  • Oversee timely resolution of employee-relations matters with the Store Director and People Partner.
  • Attract, recruit, and retain high-performing talent and build a pipeline through networking and competitive headhunting.
  • Support a consistent, timely Gucci onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Partner with the Store Director to maximize sales, achieve sales targets and KPIs, and optimize monthly profitability while maintaining operational integrity.
  • Partner with the Store Director and Team Managers on collaborative, innovative initiatives to capitalize on first-mover advantage and market opportunities.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership on the floor by coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities, engaging top clients, and delivering exceptional client service and hospitality.
  • Manage stock levels to maximize full-price sales where applicable, maintain sell-through, and align inventory with product launches.
  • Ensure training priorities are delivered so teams understand brand pillars and seasonal strategy.
  • Drive KPIs with Client Advisors and Team Managers, identifying and implementing strategies when performance standards are not met.
  • Allocate staffing resources and schedules to drive sales and maintain high client-service standards.
  • Monitor competitors’ products, sales trends, people strategies, clienteling activities, and launches.
  • Follow and oversee compliance with company policies and procedures covering Operations, People, and Security.
  • Manage and support stock levels through communication with key business departments to maximize full-price sales, maintain sell-through, and align with product launches.
  • Complete Loss Prevention quarterly self-audits, monthly cycle counts, incident reporting, and monthly inventory reconciliations to keep annual inventory shrinkage below the company target.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing merchandise requests and shipments.
  • Prepare accurate monthly schedules and submit payroll records for all employees on time.
  • Support and monitor in-store after-sales services.
  • Maintain Visual Merchandising standards set by the Global VM team.
  • Keep company assets organized in accordance with back-of-house and front-of-house guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with health, safety, and security requirements.
  • Represent Gucci in accordance with company wardrobe and grooming standards and ensure the team adheres to those standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 4–6 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or a service-related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to inspire trust and influence a team.
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and respond quickly to business needs.
  • Proven ability to deliver positive client experiences that build loyalty and produce measurable results.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Industry awareness, commercial knowledge, and strong business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Passion for the fashion industry.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
