Groupe Les Echos-Le Parisien — Research Director, Media (Paris). Lead client-facing media studies and manage a research team; hybrid role, up to 2 days remote.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own client relationships from brief to presentation: translate commercial objectives into research briefs and present findings to senior client stakeholders.
- Design, write and price study proposals independently and in partnership with the Media Department Director; manage study budgets, subcontracting and margin control.
- Plan and run media studies end-to-end (methodology, field coordination, analysis), produce deliverables and translate results into operational and strategic recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs (social listening, qualitative research, data teams) and manage external suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Lead, coach and develop junior researchers, interns and alternants; allocate resources and ensure team upskilling.
- Act as project director and commercial guarantor for departmental profitability and client satisfaction; intervene occasionally on other OpinionWay competencies (Opinion, Corporate, Brand Content) as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) — business school, Master or Mastère Spécialisé in Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing research, acquired in a market-research institute with direct exposure to media clients and media-market topics.
- Proven client-facing experience including proposal writing and budget management; prior experience in an advertising sales/regie environment is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); professional-level French is expected for daily operation.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; regular, responsible use of AI tools in professional work in line with corporate AI guidelines.

Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in marketing or audience research, specifically within a research institute or agency serving TV, radio, press and/or digital media clients; experience with international studies and advertising market metrics is desirable.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in business, marketing, or a related discipline.
