Connaissance des Arts in Paris seeks an Iconographer and Communications Intern for image research, rights clearance and event support (internship).
Role & Responsibilities
- Source, collect and dispatch photographic material for the monthly magazine, ensuring adherence to editorial deadlines.
- Verify technical quality of images and ensure suitability for print and web reproduction.
- Write and edit image captions and verify practical information associated with visuals.
- Check copyrights and secure usage rights for all photographic assets.
- Coordinate and organise photographic shoots and related logistics.
- Assist the communications team on events: manage guest lists, send invitations, track RSVPs and prepare materials for morning private visits.
- Welcome and manage guests on site during events; support ad hoc editorial or web writing assignments when required.
Qualifications
- Organised, autonomous and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced editorial environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanour for liaising with photographers, contributors and event guests.
- Keen interest in art, art history or cultural journalism.
- Attention to detail, particularly in verification of image rights and metadata.
- Familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.

Experience
Open to beginners; suitable for current students or recent graduates. Prior internships or academic experience in editorial production, cultural institutions, galleries or communications are advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Current enrolment in or recent completion of a degree in journalism, communications, art history, visual culture or a related field.
