Groupe Les Echos – Le Parisien, Paris: Employment Law Intern (stage) to support labour law research, contract drafting and social litigation in the legal department.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and ongoing monitoring of French labour legislation and case law.
  • Draft internal legal notes, employment contracts, policies, procedures and recommendations on individual and collective labour matters.
  • Prepare and organise dossiers related to social litigation and assist in the development of defence strategies.
  • Support management of relations with employee representative bodies (instances représentatives du personnel) and assist in social dialogue.
  • Assist in collective bargaining processes and contribute to drafting company agreements.
  • Provide general legal support to the social law lawyer and HR teams, including document preparation and case follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master 2 (or equivalent) specialising in employment/social law, or an élève-avocat seeking a PPI internship.
  • Strong legal analysis and drafting skills with precision and attention to detail.
  • Autonomous, organised and able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral French; professional discretion and ethical standards.
  • Previous internship experience in a legal or HR department is a plus but not required.
