The Digital Analyst Intern measures and analyses digital data across Les Echos brands’ online services, supporting business units with performance reporting, tracking, testing and optimisation. This is an on-site internship in Paris.
Role & Responsibilities
- Measure and analyse digital data across Les Echos brands’ online services to help business units manage their internet activities, working within a 15-person team and with product marketing, advertising sales, technology, editorial, audience and communications teams.
- Analyse website performance and KPIs using measurement tools, including Piano Analytics.
- Automate, produce and analyse audience dashboards and weekly and monthly reports; participate in brand committees using Looker Studio.
- Contribute to the technical implementation and testing of web analytics tools, including Google Tag Manager and Piano Analytics; enhance tracking and ensure its stability and reliability.
- Gather requirements, define KPIs and develop tagging plans for new pages, sections, websites and applications.
- Administer digital analytics tools and support internal teams in using them.
- Monitor and analyse A/B tests and propose tests to optimise customer journeys using AB Tasty.
- Analyse internet users’ behaviour and website performance, and provide optimisation recommendations.
- Monitor competitors and analyse evolving digital usage and best practices.
- Plan the Analytics team’s tasks using Jira.
- Continuously monitor digital innovations and trends in analytics and AI.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a master’s-level qualification (Bac +4/5) in business, statistics, or a university programme related to media, the web and/or marketing.
- Strong interest in the web and a very good understanding of digital media.
- Organised, with sound project management fundamentals for working with cross-functional teams.
- Rigorous and intellectually curious.
- Analytical, with strong writing and synthesis skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and ability to process, use and explain data.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Piano Analytics is highly valued.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables and lookup functions, and basic SQL knowledge.
