Golden Goose seeks an accomplished retail leader to serve as Store Manager at its Amsterdam Schiphol Airport location, reporting directly to the Retail Area Manager. The successful candidate will drive commercial performance through strategic KPI analysis, team development, and the cultivation of elevated customer experiences rooted in the brand's founding values of familiality, positivity, respect, success, and quality. This role demands a visionary business owner who inspires staff to deliver personalized, omnichannel engagement whilst maintaining rigorous operational and visual merchandising standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Monitor store target achievement and sales performance through KPI analysis, establishing and implementing corrective action plans in collaboration with Area Management
• Guide and motivate the retail team to achieve commercial targets while maintaining qualitative standards and brand strategy alignment
• Ensure implementation of best-practice selling ceremonies including upselling, cross-selling, and co-creation services to enhance client experience
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through active listening, feedback incorporation, and personalized engagement; drive Golden App database development and customer segmentation
• Serve as a Brand Ambassador to cultivate local community relationships, expand the customer network, and consolidate brand loyalty
• Drive omnichannel sales execution by leveraging digital tools including Golden App, Salesforce, Xstore, and Stealth systems
• Monitor industry and market trends, providing strategic recommendations to Area Management to identify sales opportunities and competitive positioning
• Communicate brand heritage, vision, and iconic product narratives to colleagues and clients, embodying and reinforcing brand values
• Ensure optimal store merchandising assortment aligned with market and client needs; provide feedback to Area Management and Buying teams
• Maintain superior visual merchandising, store presentation, and product displays in accordance with brand standards and imagery
• Attract, recruit, manage, and develop team talent; conduct performance reviews, provide developmental feedback, and foster a positive work environment
• Lead daily and weekly in-store briefings to motivate staff, establish objectives, and communicate success metrics
• Oversee onboarding and training programs for new staff members, ensuring brand alignment and skill development
• Enforce staff grooming and uniform compliance with brand guidelines
• Collaborate with Area Management and HR on staffing decisions to ensure candidates meet company standards for skills, experience, and potential
• Supervise all store operations including stock management, SOP adherence, and achievement of operational objectives
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulations, GDPR, and Health & Safety protocols
• Adopt and promote IT and digital commercial systems, ensuring team proficiency and readiness

Qualifications

• Fluent English language proficiency (Dutch preferred; additional languages valued)
• Proven sales background with prior retail management experience in a similar role
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to listen actively and engage thoughtfully
• Problem-solving acumen with capacity to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and make informed decisions
• Team-oriented collaborative approach with commitment to collective goal achievement
• Effective time management and task prioritization abilities

Previous experience in the retail sector, preferably in a store management or similar leadership role within fashion, luxury goods, or comparable consumer-facing environment.
