Golden Goose seeks a passionate Cobbler to join its Beijing boutique, bringing exceptional expertise in shoe repair, restoration, and bespoke customization services. As a pivotal member of the retail team, the successful candidate will deliver personalized craftsmanship that breathes new life into footwear whilst championing the brand's sustainability vision. This role combines artisanal technical skill with elevated client engagement, creating memorable experiences that foster lasting relationships within the Global Golden Community.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide a warm welcome to clients, fostering a sense of belonging within the Global Golden Community and delivering consultative, empathetic service
- Execute a comprehensive range of shoe repair services including stitching, cleaning, disinfection, stain and water repellent treatments, and expert restoration to extend product longevity
- Manage bespoke remake and customization services, enabling clients to inject their personal narrative into each pair whilst maintaining artisanal excellence
- Collaborate with the broader retail team on sales, pre- and post-sale activities, stock management, and customer loyalty initiatives
- Ensure client registration on the Golden App platform to support effective customer segmentation and personalized engagement
- Authentically convey the brand's heritage and values, infusing Golden Goose identity into all co-created items with respect and consistency
- Maintain the cobbler workspace in pristine condition, adhering to visual merchandising standards and brand aesthetic
- Assist with store operational procedures including opening and closing protocols, inventory management, and compliance with GDPR and health and safety regulations
- Utilize digital tools and systems effectively—including Golden App, Salesforce, Xstore, and Stealth—to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in footwear repair, restoration, and bespoke customization techniques
- Strong command of English language with ability to articulate brand values and product narratives to international clientele
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or luxury goods environments is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to engage clients with active listening and thoughtful communication
- Capacity to identify client needs, evaluate solutions, and deliver informed recommendations
