Glenmorangie seeks Supply Chain Capacity Planner in Livingston. Lead capacity planning, demand forecasting, and S&OP meetings for luxury whisky producer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust capacity planning models to accurately assess current and future supply chain capabilities across all critical functions
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of future demand patterns and their potential impact on supply chain capacity
- Foster strong collaboration with production, commercial, and operations teams to ensure capacity plans are meticulously aligned
- Proactively identify potential capacity constraints, operational bottlenecks, and inherent risks, subsequently developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Evaluate the financial implications of all capacity-related decisions, striving for optimal cost-effectiveness and desired service levels
- Manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) directly related to capacity utilisation, lead times, and on-time delivery
- Continuously monitor and review existing plans, making timely adjustments in response to unforeseen circumstances or changes in demand
- Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain accurate reporting of actual performance against forecast projections
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal capacity planning inquiries and coordinate with the MH Central Team
- Collaborate on stock coverage strategies and effective management of Slow & Obsolete Stock (SLOB)
- Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, facilitating critical discussions and decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in supply chain planning
- Proven track record of successfully developing and constructing sophisticated planning models
- Solid understanding and practical experience with budgeting processes
- Proficiency in industry-standard planning software (ERP systems, advanced planning systems) and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Experience in ERP system roll-outs and successful transitions from one system to another
