Glenmorangie (LVMH) seeks NPD Senior Packaging Technologist in Livingston, Scotland. Lead packaging development, testing and launch delivery for premium whisky.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical development, testing and approval for NPD projects
  • Mentor and support the development of NPD Packaging Technologists, providing technical guidance and training
  • Lead technical risk assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to identify and mitigate project delivery risks
  • Translate brand and agency briefs into technically robust, manufacturable and scalable packaging designs in partnership with suppliers
  • Organise and lead new packaging trials in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure launch readiness
  • Manage the development, review, and internal and external approval of artworks throughout the NPD lifecycle
  • Collaborate with the quality team to develop supplier dry goods quality aesthetic standards aligned with brand requirements
  • Ensure NPD projects meet company, regulatory body and government sustainability targets and regulations
  • Collate sustainability data throughout NPD projects and populate EPI scores for reporting
  • Manage purchase orders and invoice management for NPD origination, sampling and tooling requirements
  • Contribute to post-project reviews, documenting learnings and implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and deliver value engineering for cost reduction

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant packaging development or technical experience
  • Extensive experience developing, testing and approving primary, secondary and tertiary packaging
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulatory and sustainability compliance
  • Accomplished in interpreting and validating technical drawings
  • Excellent PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Professional and effective communication abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Team player with a focus on collaboration and delivering customer needs
  • Ability to work with own initiative
