Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end NPD projects from opportunity identification to final delivery, ensuring on-time, on-quality, and on-budget execution
  • Manage and develop the Packaging Technologist team member, including performance objectives, workload allocation, and escalation support
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, facilitating cross-functional collaboration with Brand and commercial colleagues
  • Lead project kick-off and update meetings with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress throughout the NPD lifecycle
  • Oversee project governance including timelines, critical path activities, risk management, recovery planning, Stage Gate adherence, documentation, and KPI delivery
  • Support supplier onboarding, tender processes, supplier selection, and pipeline planning in alignment with brand and business objectives
  • Provide technical input on feasibility, risks, innovations, emerging technologies, supplier requirements, and project timings
  • Ensure projects meet sustainability targets, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and testing/trialling specifications including bottling line performance
  • Manage packaging development budgets and maintain accurate packaging data, item specifications, technical drawings, and documentation
  • Monitor global supplier capabilities and emerging technologies to identify and incorporate innovation trends
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPD processes and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, product development, or related discipline
  • Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or packaging development environment
  • Strong understanding of packaging development projects, including technical challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated experience with project governance frameworks and Stage Gate processes
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing environments and packaging specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project management software
  • Experience managing budgets and supplier relationships in a commercial context
