Glenmorangie seeks a Maintenance Planner for their Isle of Islay facility. Lead planned and reactive maintenance, manage contractors, and oversee minor capital projects in this full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver the planned maintenance program, prioritising works in accordance with assessed risk levels
- Expedite reactive maintenance works with timely and safe execution
- Review and authorise all maintenance-aligned contractor-supplied health and safety documentation prior to onsite work
- Implement and enforce the company Permit to Work system, ensuring strict adherence during all works
- Control and manage onsite contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies, self-supplied RAMS, and permit conditions
- Maintain and update all maintenance records to current standards
- Exercise budgetary control; create and manage purchase orders within defined budget limitations
- Identify and resolve risks, hazards, and threats related to people, property, and premises
- Promote sustainable practices in facilities management aligned with organisational strategy
- Enhance knowledge and skills in the facilities management sector through targeted training and cross-functional collaboration
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective collaboration and communication
- Conduct inspections to verify quality standards and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage minor CAPEX projects for building and infrastructure improvements
- Assist the capital project team in safe execution of construction work for major capital projects
- Serve as the focal point for handover and acceptance of maintenance and project construction work
Qualifications
- Expertise in Facilities or Estates Management (relevant degree or proven equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of Construction Regulations 2015 and duty holders' responsibilities
- Permit to Work experience and demonstrated competency
- Proven project and planning management experience
- Sound knowledge of financial management and budget management
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Proficiency with SAP
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification (preferred)
- Experience in approving Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in facilities management, estates management, or related maintenance planning roles, demonstrating competency in planned maintenance delivery, contractor oversight, and health and safety compliance.
Education
Relevant degree in facilities management, built environment, engineering, or construction; or equivalent professional experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge and capability.
